Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar row: Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan say workplace should not be threatening

Tanushree Dutta was recently slapped with two legal notices by Nana Patekar and director Vivek Agnihotri. Besides that, the former Miss India was also charged under defamation case by Maharashtra police for her comments about Maharastra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. However, several Bollywood celebrities have been supporting the actress who recently returned from the US a few months ago. 

After Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Priyanka Chopra, Kalki Koechlin, Konkona Sen, Anushka Sharma too spoke about Tanushree Dutta. At Sui Dhaaga success media interaction, Anushka mentioned that the workplace should be a haven and no one should feel threatened.

She said, "Workplace should be the safest place. You should not feel threatened. It's frightening to know the details. It's not easy for Tanushree Dutta. She is fighting against the tide. As a woman, if this would encourage more women to speak. Members of media should be careful too. It's a molestation case. Do. Not use certain pictures to malign her."

On the other hand, Varun Dhawan who was also at the media interaction, said, "It's supposed to be safe when one goes to work. We hope a conclusion comes soon. Tanushree Dutta had alleged that Nana Patekar had harassed her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss ten years ago but was however shut down by both Nana and the director of the film Rakesh Sarang.
